We got off to an early start on our free day and walked to the Holy Sulpechre and after an hour in line, we were able to enter the tomb of Jesus and burn a candle, which I will bring home with me.
It was special to go to Calvary as well, in the underground display, under the site, and to see, as evidence, the crack in the wall where the earthquake took place at that time.
Our afternoon tour featured a trip to where the Battle between David and Goliath occurred. Read Second Samuel Chapter 17. We also visited Emmaous which brought back many memories of my walk.
Except for the different graffiti language and large yellow license plates on the vehicles, there are many parts of Israel that look just like home.
